Historian Dr. Linda Gordon speaks at UAH Thursday, October 24th, 2013
NYU History Professor Dr. Linda Gordon will speak about Visual Democracy: How Dorothea Lange used Photography to promote equality.
The lecture will be held Thursday, October 24th in Shelby Center room 107 at 11:10am.
Her Honors lecture is based on her most recent book, Dorothea Lange: A Life Beyond Limits (2009), which won the Bancroft Prize for best book in US history and the Los Angeles Times Book Prize for Biography.

Harrison Walker's BFA in Photography Exit Show opens today
Harrison will become the first BFA student in Photography to graduate since our new degree was implemented two years ago.
Come to his opening today from 2-6 at our Wilson Hall Gallery. The show will remain up until October 25, 2013.

Kenneth Lee website gives good info on Large Format lenses

These lenses would be used with 4x5 or larger cameras.
For those of you that want to learn to use this type of camera you will need to take traditional Darkroom I (ARS352) and then Darkroom II (ARS452) where you will have a choice from 4x5 to 8x10 cameras.
